Free Federal Money For College – Texas

Very few people are aware of the many grant programs in place and just waiting to give money to students smart enough to find out about them. The budget proposal seeks to provide a record .8 billion in Pell Grant  to nearly 9 million students during the 2011-12 award year   I’m going to show you what’s going on for Texas Residents:

General Requirements:

Applicants must be residents of Texas, unless otherwise specified.  Website: http://thecb.state.tx.us

Programs Available:

1.  Money to Attend Public Colleges In Texas (Texas Public Education Grant);

2.  Money to Attend Private Colleges in Texas (Tuition Equalization Grant);

3.  Up to ,000 For half Time or Full Time Students (LEAP)  Texas Students.  http://www.omniglot.com/onlineinfo/texas_students.html   More information on this grant: 

Early High School Graduation Scholarship Program.Awards of the cost of tuition only, up to ,000, for eligible college students.

Students may qualify if they:

Graduate from a Texas public high school on or after 09/01/2003

The scholarships and programs are designed in such a way that most of the eligible students get a fair opportunity of education in Texas.  There’s a lot of information on the above site that I’ve provided.
